85 Heifer Pairs
Can ship anytime. As we get further in April and into May we will have some added cost
so let’s visit about a price adjustment later if we need to.
All black heifers except 8 BWF.
Very gentle set of heifers that are cake broke, and have been worked on foot, horseback, and with 4 wheelers
Among the best heifers we have had, and we buy only top end females for our program.
Originated from two Sandhills reputation herds where they were the top 20% of each herd and were their replacements. They chose to sell them due to expected drought so we purchased all of them and developed them from calves a year ago in 2023. They were AI’d to ABS Patriarch one time, then went directly to pasture above Laramie, where the summer range was at elevations of 7500 to 8000’. In the fall they came down to HQ @ 7280’.
The calves were all born from Feb 20th to March 9th.
Heifer vaccinations:
Full MLV protocol
Fall – Valcor, Cleanup
Pre-calving – Scourguard 4KC - 2, Cleanup
Calves – Alpha 7 at birth
Calving was easy as heifers get, most had them without incident, and calves were quick to be up and nursing. If there was any doubt at all of a calf not nursing, we gave colostrum.
Now the pairs are running out on meadows, getting grass hay and cake. Spring high-mag mineral is in place and they have had a full mineral program since calves
so let’s visit about a price adjustment later if we need to.
